Custom Maps & Personalized Products

This policy covers the personalized digital products created with our tools — Custom City Map, Custom Zodiac Art and Custom Baby Art. By creating and purchasing one of these products you agree to the terms below. It supplements our Terms of Service and Privacy Notice.

What you’re buying

These are personalized, made-to-order digital files — not physical items. Nothing is shipped. After payment you receive a high-resolution file to download, print and frame for your own personal use. Because each file is custom-generated from the details you enter, it cannot be resold or reused by us.

Map data & imagery — attribution and copyright

Our maps are composited from third-party sources, each owned by its provider and used under their terms. The required attribution is printed on every poster and must remain on the file:

• Aerial / satellite imagery & map styles: © MapTiler and © OpenStreetMap contributors. MapTiler supplies the satellite imagery and map styling under a commercial license that expressly permits printed and print-on-demand products.
• Street & place map data: © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL).
• Label overlay (on satellite): © CARTO, © OpenStreetMap contributors.
• Suggested place photos: sourced from Wikimedia Commons and shown with their contributor/attribution where applicable.

You receive a license to use the generated poster for personal, non-commercial purposes (printing, gifting, displaying). You may not remove the printed attribution, extract the underlying map tiles or data for other uses, or resell the map data itself. Commercial or bulk/redistribution use of the map data requires permission from the respective providers.

Printed & framed products

When you order a printed or framed map, it is produced on demand through our print partner (Gelato), using the satellite imagery and map styles licensed from MapTiler — whose license permits printed and print-on-demand products — together with © OpenStreetMap contributors data. Framed prints are custom, made to order specifically for you: once your order is placed it goes straight into production and cannot be canceled, changed, or refunded, except where the item arrives defective or is damaged in printing or shipping. Please confirm your design, size and frame color before checkout — the item is made exactly as previewed, and shipping is included in the price. If you are unsure about the size, we recommend the digital version, which you can print yourself at any size, from a sticker to a full-wall mural.

“Find places by type” data

The feature that marks bars, hotels, beaches and similar places uses point-of-interest data from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). This data is community-maintained and provided “as is” — names, locations and existence of places may be inaccurate or out of date. Please review pins before ordering.

Your content — photos, names, logos

You are responsible for everything you add to a map: uploaded photos, photos selected from the web, names, phrases and logos. By adding content you confirm that:

• you own it or have the necessary rights and permissions to use it;
• it does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
• it is not unlawful, offensive, or a photo of a person used without their consent;
• where you select a web photo (e.g. from Wikimedia Commons), you are responsible for complying with that image’s license, including any attribution or restrictions on commercial use.

You grant Home Adonait a limited license to process and reproduce your content solely to generate your file. We do not claim ownership of your photos, names or logos, and we remove your uploaded content from active use after your order is fulfilled.

Our intellectual property

The design, layout, templates, fonts arrangement and software of our personalization tools are the property of Home Adonait / Adonait and are protected by copyright. Your purchase grants you a license to the finished file only — it does not transfer ownership of the template or tool, and the tools may not be copied, scraped or reproduced.

Accuracy

Coordinates, imagery and place data are provided “as is” without warranty of accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Always preview your map and confirm the pins, spelling and framing before you order — personalized files are made exactly as previewed.

Delivery, refunds & previews

Files are delivered digitally. Because they are personalized and made to order, all sales are final once the file has been generated and delivered, except where the file is defective or materially different from your approved preview. If something is wrong with your file, contact us through the Customer Service page and we’ll make it right.

Prohibited uses

You may not use our tools to create content that infringes intellectual property, impersonates a person or brand without authorization, harasses or targets a private individual, or is otherwise unlawful. We may decline or cancel any order that violates these terms.
